After living in Western Australia for over 30 years, I can genuinely say that WA has some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen! Whether you’re staying down south, in Perth, or up exploring the coral coast you’ll be sure to witness not only some amazing sunsets but sunrises too!

With this in mind, I thought I would share some of the sunsets and sunrises I’ve been fortunate to experience while living in our amazing state.
Magical Sunsets in Western Australia

This would have to be one of my favourites, not only was it amazing sunsets, it reminds me of such a great camping trip I had at 14 Mile with friends and family.

This beauty was taken when I was kayaking with friends and family in Wellington Dam whilst camping at Potters Gorge.

Probably one of the most well-known spots for producing amazing sunsets, this one is from Cable Beach whilst sitting back and enjoying a beer at the beachside bar.

This is one spot I wasn’t expecting to capture a great sunset. I was having fun taking my sons on rides and looked up to see this beautiful sunset setting in the background of the showgrounds.

Mindarie Marina is a fantastic spot for watching the sunset, especially when you get to watch it from the beer garden;)

s it’s close to home, I often head down to Claytons Beach in the evening, this sunset was so picturesque I had to take a pic!

One of my favourite destinations to chill out at the beach in WA is Busselton – so great for kids and such calm conditions in the bay.
Magical Sunrises in Western Australia

Whilst I was heading out fishing from Mindarie Marina, I was able to turn around and capture this beauty.

I captured this beautiful sunrise as I was heading out from Port Geographe Marina for some squid fishing 🎣
