Swan River (Perth), Western Australia

The Swan River is the central river located in Perth, Western Australia. It is the second longest river in the state, after the Murray River.

The Swan River flows for over one thousand kilometres from its source in the Darling Scarp all the way down to Fremantle before it meets the Indian Ocean.

The Swan River is best known for its wide range of outdoor activities. Popular activities include kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, boating, water skiing and fishing.

There are a number of private moorings throughout the swan river, along with Yacht and Sailing Clubs. The two prominent Yacht clubs are Royal Perth Yacht Club, Mounts Bay Sailing Club and Maltilda Bay Yacht Club.
