John Forrest National Park Photo Gallery

Being so close to Perth city, John Forrest National Park is a popular destination for those wanting a break from the hustle and bustle of the city life style.

If you’re heading to John Forrest and wondering what to expect, then check out the below photo gallery showing some of the attractions and things to do in the park. Some of these include:

  • The old rail way bridge is a fantastic site and also offers a little creek for those kids wanting to explore
  • Take a 5km walk out to the old railway tunnel. Along the way you’ll come across some beautiful scenery comprising of wildflowers, beautiful granite rock, natural bushland and waterfalls
  • Walking through the 340m old railway tunnel. This is a fantastic experience for the whole family and can be a little spooky for the little ones, so if you don’t like the dark be sure to pack a torch:)
  • Let the kids play within the playground whilst you enjoy a picnic or barbeque near by
  • If you’re lucky, take some time to say hello to the kangaroos and other local wildlife who reside near the tavern
  • On your way our (or in to the park) be sure to stop at Glen Brook Dam. Unfortunately you can’t swim within the dam though it’s a beautiful spot for a picnic or to just kick back and enjoy the scenery. There are also some nice walking trails that go around the dam and further into the national park.
