Lagoon Campground – Warroora Station, WA

Lagoon is a great campground situated near Warroora station located along the Ningaloo Reef of North West WA.

About Lagoon Campground

The Lagoon campground comprises of 20 oceanfront campsites spread along the beach.

  • 4WD Only
  • Visitors must have a chemical cassette toilet (More info here)
  • Camping fees apply
  • Camp fires are allowed in self-contained fire pits for certain times (Refer to the DPWA current campfire conditions page for details)
  • Generators allowed
  • Dogs are permitted within designated areas and the campground (Must be on a leash)
  • No drinking water
  • No showers
  • No toilets
  • A dump station is located 0.8kms away from the camp (check on the map below)

Things to do

Similar to other beachfront campsites, the Lagoon is perfect for those ocean going activities with fishing, snorkelling, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking being popular activities amongst visitors.

Fishing at Lagoon

Being a lagoon, you often find bait fish and other smaller species taking shelter in the calmer waters of the lagoon. When the bait fish move in you often find that the likes of Queenfish, Trevally and Mackerel won’t be far behind making it a great spot for fishing with lures or soft plastics.

How to get there

To get to Lagoon campgrounds at Warroora, you must first head to Warroora station which is just over 11,000kms north of Perth. Once you’ve got into Warroora follow the signs to Lagoon campsite.
