Port Denison, Western Australia

Port Denison is a beautiful coastal town located in the mid west region of Western Australia. Approximately 4hrs north of Perth, this picturesque town is primarily known for its fishing boasting a fantastic marina that supports the local fishing industry.

On the south side of Dongara (separated by the Irwin River), Port Denison is popular for families looking for a weekend escape north or Perth, or is often a nice stop over spot for those travelling up through to the likes of Shark Bay, Coral Bay or Exmouth.

Apart from the fishing, Port Denison has some beautiful beaches and coastal spots to explore. If you’re into surfing, kite surfing or stand up paddle boarding then this is definitely a spot worth visiting. There are also some great kid friendly beaches too.

With the Irwin River so close there are also some great walking trails that follow the river back inland or out towards the coast.
