Located on the coast makes Lancelin the ideal location for those who are into water based activities.  With outer reefs and small islands sheltering Lancelin, most of the beaches and bays around Lancelin are relatively sheltered from the big swells of the Indian Ocean.

These conditions are great for those that want to get out and explore the coast with activities such as swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding and fishing being popular amongst visitors to Lancelin.

For those that are keen to venture out in a boat then there is some great boat fishing to be had, or if you’re into scuba diving then there are some awesome reefs and wrecks waiting to be explored.

If you’re keen to take the 4WD off road or do some sandboarding then don’t forget the Lancelin Dunes.
