1. Whale watching

Whales migrate from as far as Alaska to the warmer waters of Esperance. From June through to October, whales can be often be seen from shore or boat between Cape Le Grand National Park and Bluff Knoll Lighthouse.

2. Sandboarding

Sandboarding is a great activity for those wanting a fun day out with a difference. When visiting take note that not all sections of sand dunes allow boarding!

Esperance has some fantastic surf spots near by, perfect for those who want to learn how to surf, there’s even pro surfers who call Esperance home! 4

Where is Esperance?

Esperance is on the south east coast of Western Australia. It borders the Great Australian Bight and it’s about 715km from Perth (Approx. 8 hr drive or 1.30hrs via plane). Access by road is via National Route 1 .

What National Parks can you camp in?

There are three national parks which have camping areas, these include Stokes National Park and Cape Le Grand National Park.
