Denmark is a beautiful coastal town located in the great southern region of Western Australia. Known for its amazing natural attractions, Denmark is a well-loved destination for tourists, beach lovers, and nature goers in the area.

Apart from having some of the most amazing beaches on the south coast including Shelley Beach, Lights Beach, and Peaceful Bay, Denmark is also home to a number of beautiful waterways and rivers to explore.

The Wilson Inlet is the main one. Approximately 50 km2 in size, the Wilson Inlet is great for those wanting to go for a fish, kayak, paddle boarding or swimming.

Other attractions in Denmark include Greens Pool and Elephant Rock. Greens Pool is located in the William Bay National Park and is a must-see for those beachgoers visiting Denmark. Protected from the elements, Greens Pool is great for those wanting to take the kids to the beach for the day.

Also located in the William Bay National Park, Elephant Cove (Also known as Elephant Rock) is a popular swimming location for those wanting to cool down during the summer months.

For those nature lovers, although not quite in Denmark (40min drive west) you have the Tree Top Walk – Valley of the Giants! This is one of a kind, Treetop walk which comprises an amazing suspended walking trail located approximately 40m in the air.

For those keen to cast a line, Denmark also has some great fishing spots including Wilson Inlet, Ocean Beach, Denmark River, Hay River, and Flat Rock.

How to get to Denmark?

Denmark is approximately 420kms from Perth, or if traveling via car it will take you around 4.5 – 5hrs.
