If you want to experience the breathtaking views of Busselton from a different angle, try kayaking off the Foreshore Beach.  You can launch the kayaks anywhere along the foreshore and head out and explore georgraphe bay and in and around the Jetty.  It’s a fun activity that your kids will love.

Take a ride on the famous Busselton Jetty Train and see the jetty from a different perspective with your kids.

Riding on the train is a great way to get out and explore the end of the Jetty when you have little kiddies that just don’t have the energy to walk all the way to the end and back.

Underwater Observatory at the end of the Jetty

Get up close and personal with the marine life at the Underwater Observatory at the end of the Jetty. Your kids will be amazed by the variety of sea creatures that live in the waters below.

When I was there with my two boys we got to see a variety of different fish swim by, there was even a seal swimming around!

Inflatables (summer months only)

If you’re visiting Busselton during the summer months, don’t miss out on the chance to try the inflatables located to the left of the foreshore jetty.

It’s an adrenaline-pumping activity that your kids will never forget and to be honest, the parents usually have a ball too, well I did;)

I must admit though it’s pretty expensive for what you get though something your kids will definitely enjoy!

Visit the Foreshore Playground

The playground in Busselton is a great place for kids to burn off some energy.  I’ve spent many mornings sitting down enjoying a nice cuppa from the Cafe close by whilst my kids run around having a ball!

With slides, swings, and climbing equipment, it’s sure to be a hit with your little ones.

As the playground is right near the beach it’s not a bad idea to pack some bathers too as on those hotter days the kids can have a play and then go take a dip in the ocean to cool off.

Mini Golf

Finally, don’t miss out on the chance to snorkel at the beach in Busselton. The water is crystal clear, and your kids will love spotting all the different fish and other sea creatures.

If you have younger kids then I’d recommend snorkelling in and around the U shape jetty at the foreshore beach as this is nice and protected from the elements.

Alternatively, for those older kids, snorkelling in and around the busselton jetty is a fantastic experience – especially off the end of the jetty!

Skate it up at the Skate Park!

One thing my sons love about visiting Busselton is that they get to spend time at the skatepark.  The Busselton skate park has been designed so well and is set up to cater for all levels of skaters, from the little ones wanting to test out their new scooter for Christmas, up to pro skaters wanting to drop into one of the biggest skate bowls in Western Australia!
