MadMackie.com.au was started in 2019 by a West Australian, father of two boys, living in the northern suburbs of Perth.

Why the name MadMackie?

From Wayne, the co-founder…

“When fishing up north with a mate we had some mad sessions catching huge Spanish mackerel more than 20kg+. This was one of my best fishing trips, and I’ll always remember how aggressive and mad these Spanish mackerel were.

Every time we hooked up they would take off ripping line off our reels and often jumping out of the water to shake the lure (Or to escape the tax man). I left the northwest thinking how mad these mackerel were.

A few years later when trying to think of a catchy name MadMackie popped into my head as a name that would stick so here were are a few years later!”
